I made a blog post all about hacking machines from a Virtual Private Server rather than using a Virtual Machine. I’ve used this most for Hack the Box, maybe you will find it useful as well!
Very good quality blog post Robert! And also another benefit of a VPS is how it can reduce network traffic that you’re sending from per-say a VPN connection with (potentially) thousands of http requests.
