Open VPN error

I get the following error when I try connecting to .ovpn file through command line, I connect with root account and when i use the same file for Windows it connects without a problem.

I already tried reinstalling openvpn, can anyone please help me with this problem?

/sbin/ip -6 addr add dead:beef:2::1038/64 dev tun0
RTNETLINK answers: Permission denied
Linux ip -6 addr add failed: external program exited with error status: 2
Exiting due to fatal error

I’m have this problem too… Someone happy?

How are you both initiating the openvpn link?

i’m receiving this error after doing this command:

sudo openvpn lab_Mrdudebro1.ovpn

The solution is to set up a proper DNS name and configure that and save settings. Then uninstall, redownload, and reinstall the connection profile or OpenVPN Connect Client program and to try again. Another common mistake is to forget to open the 3 ports required for OpenVPN Access Server to be reachable properly.
